Replacement Construction of "Possehl-Bridge"Lübeck, Germany
Project consulting:
In June 2017, INPROCON was commissioned to support the site management team of Wayss & Freytag during the execution of the construction works for the new construction of the „Possehl-Bridge“ in Lübeck, Germany. The scope of services of INPROCON comprises site management for all trades (civil works, architectural works, finishing works etc.) as well as the supervision of local subcontractors involved in the execution of the construction works.
Project:
The "Possehl-Bridge" crosses the “Kanal-Trave / St.-Jürgen-Hafen” in the course of Possehl street in Lübeck and is 40 meters long. It was built in 1956. The existing bridge structure shows substantial damages by moistened cracks on the cantilever lower sides of the box girder. Refurbishment was neither economically reasonable nor technically feasible. Therefore demolition and new construction of the “Possehl-Bridge” was decided. Completion is planned for the fourth quarter of 2018.
