Management of Procurement and Logistics

Depending on the complexity and geographical location of a construction project, materials and equipment may need to be imported in order to do the work. These may not be available or are only available in insufficient quantities on site. Procurement processes and transport to the project can pose major challenges to the companies involved. Delivery times, material preparation and storage for transport, means of transport (e.g. air or sea freight), export and import provisions, storage times and storage capacities on site or time-critical deliveries need to be organized, in addition to procurement.
