In March 2011 INPROCON was commissioned with evaluating the project status of the Ashegoda Wind Farm and advising on solutions for outstanding contract management issues.
The project was concluded by INPROCON. The results and elaborations were made available to the client.
Project:
The project consists of a 120 MW wind farm development project close to Mekʼele, the capital of the Tigray region. With the 30 MW capacity deployed in the first phase, this project is the first of its kind in Ethiopia. The annual energy output is between 400 and 450 GWh. The wind farm project includes 120 towers each of which can generate 1 MW.
